Are you hanging by a thread?

Featured Wide 1556 (18)

It’s hard. It’s wrenching. It’s incredibly painful and it’s difficult to feel lightness.

Or to see clearly.

Hanging by a thread can be really disorienting. What you’re going through undeniably sucks.

Listen to me: It’s going to be okay. You’re going to get through this. You can do it.
Baby, you ARE doing it.

You’re getting through this. Right now your cells are plumping up and your heart is beating and you have your breath. *In breath. Out breath.* It’s really okay if you have to get that basic about getting through it.

In breath, out breath. Sun’s gonna rise. It’s going to be okay.

Take encouragement from strangers. Like me. Go ahead. Take it. It’s free and I don’t feel karmically entangled. So listen to me: It’s going to be okay.

This will not kill you.

Do you believe in angels? If you don’t, just believe in them for the next twenty fours.

There are a hundred thousand angels by your side.

You’re probably feeling devastatingly alone, like an iceberg drifting. No one can hear you cracking. It’s cold. But, just like an iceberg, you have so much beneath the surface. Years of layers and lifetimes of experience and strengths to call on — skills of expanding consciousness that you didn’t even know you had. You will not sink.

People have been through what you’re going through right now. Thousands of them.

Really and truly. Your picture of heartbreak, your strain of pain is part of the human fabric, and that tapestry is holding you like an Eskimo blanket. Other people have survived this and when they got out of the hole, they left a morphogenic popcorn trail out of the pain. You can trace their steps.

It may be hard to believe right now, but not only will it be okay, not only will you get through and over this, you will thrive again. You will be clear and vibrant and INCREDIBLE.

You will not only have more character to pull out at parties and wisdom to offer the world, but you will feel more joy than you think is possible right now.

You will.

You may walk with a limp. You may wince when you look back (understandable) you may cry unexpectedly in the book store, but you’ll be more alive, and more You. You will be strong. And you will feel a curious sensation of being more useful. And it will feel really, really fantastic.

What you’re going through right now is so difficult.

And it’s going to be okay.

More than okay.

Pleasure-is-power

Your pleasure is your power… here’s how to get there, a few hours at a time.

When you’re in your pleasure you think more clearly, you’re more efficient, you’re most certainly more creative, and you’re more loving. Your pleasure states are good for your immune system. Mmmhmm.

As our American friends head to the polls today, I wanted to offer this to all of us: Look for Light with more intensity than ever… and vote for it.

Transformational Speaking

Want to be a powerful speaker? Meet the master…

Maybe you’re an introvert with a message. You’ve heard the call to speak, but playing the “extrovert” feels inauthentic. You may already be an active speaker, but your last few gigs or presentations could have used some oomph, that (sometimes) elusive fire.

CONSCIOUS gratitude is SMART gratitude—know exactly what you’re grateful for & why.

Conscious gratitude has been one of the most healing and creative practices in my life. It gets me out of my funk EVERY TIME. And it’s the source of a lot of my productivity. Conscious gratitude heals you, it’s generative, and it’s incredibly empowering.

The beautiful terror of going slowly

The beautiful terror of going slower. (I highly recommend it.)

It will not break your spirit, it will break down your addictions. Slower is not robbing you of having your deep desires being fulfilled, it’s helping you to be there—really be there—so you can see them right in front of you.

Stop Doing. (AKA detangling, liberating, and facing some gnarly terror.)

In terms of being successful (meaning YOUR definition of personal success), what you stop doing is just as important as what you start doing. Full stop. I know this to be true in my own life, over and over again.

Danielle LaPorte Near Blinding Radiance

When you get through the big pain, this is what happens: Near-blinding radiance.

You will have more to give—and you will LOVE giving it. You will seek to give. It will be the most incredible feeling. Someone is going to come to you with a broken wing, or low on reserves and you are going to have so much love and insight to offer them.

Hey Fire Starter People

Hey, Fire Starter! Is your time management system starving your Soul?

When you’re clear on what activates the joy within you, time management becomes a means to self-expression, not self-policing. And “making time” becomes an act of service so that you can be your best for those around you.

What needs to change? Look at what sucks without criticizing yourself.

You’re going to look at what needs to change WITHOUT laying a guilt trip on yourself (or anyone else). You’re observing, not criticizing. Criticism clouds your clarity, so resist that destructive impulse and simply name what you’d like to change.
