Lightwork-ers!

Episode #4 of the ‘cast is live today: Beliefs, Movies & Man Crushes,”. All intimate Q&A sourced straight from… you. Like:

  • Have I ever Feng Shui’ed my house? The short answer: yes. The cliffhanger: no, not anymore.
  • What brings back my energy when I’m in my darkest hour? (I take my own medicine.)
  • Who are my celebrity crushes? Favourite movies? Favourite tea? In between swooning, I manage to break down some romance wisdom.
  • Why don’t I talk about my parents? I do now.

  • What’s my take on the narcissistic vs. empath dynamic? Oh darling…

  • When did I know I “arrived”? (Still getting there.)

Thank you, thank you, thank you, for asking. Tune in for more from LIGHT WORK, Ep. #4 HERE.

One Love,

Danielle LaPorte

The Narcissist and the Empath
Featured in LIGHT WORK, Episode #4

What’s your take on (and advice for) the narcissistic vs. empath dynamic? Have you had this experience? How did you recover?”

If you identify as holistically-inclined, spiritually-seeking, or sensitive… you have likely experienced the narcissist/empath dance. In some ways, a narcissist and a New Age’r (let’s just use that term for the sake of this conversation) with low self-esteem have a lot in common: they’re both trying to get approval from outside sources to fill the hole in their Soul. The narcissist will grind and grind, and the empath will give and give… until she just can’t give anymore. If the empath can cut those cords and leave that situation, she’ll finally see: “I was doing the best I could. I was loving and I was listening. And I was over-giving. I was over-tolerant.” She reaches this beautiful place where she realizes that she is enough.

And then the realization sets in that you don’t need to be someone else’s source of energy and clarity. You will no longer cry the tears that somebody needs to cry for themselves. You won’t be doing personal growth for somebody else anymore. You will feel what you are feeling, and put yourself at the center of your life again. Where you belong.

The Principles of Active Waiting vs. feeling-like-a-loser, losing-your-mind kind of waiting…

I was at a friend’s cluttered apartment and he was saying how much he wanted to have a live-in girlfriend. And I was like, “Dude, where would she put her stuff?” He got his tidy on to make space for the live-in love he was waiting to find. That’s active waiting — happily preparing for what you trust is on its way to you.

this video has been getting a LOT of attention

What are you willing to do for your creative dream? Are you willing to transform? To give it up; be the fool; re-write your story; not recognize yourself; believe differently; be something, someone, you have not yet known? It does take a “miracle mindset”. And…

Some marketing know-how. Cosmic meets pragmatism.

You were born for this. See what I mean…

We believe in something bigger than ourselves. We understand that the cultural obsession with productivity is killing our joy & harming the planet. We KNOW the world needs leaders who uphold a triple bottom line—economic, social, environmental. So. This message is for you. (Especially if you’re a Creative, a teacher, a leader, an entrepreneur—or want to be.)

How to be wildly successful

How to be wildly successful—on your terms

If you’ve been trying to turn your business or art into a profitable vehicle that makes a difference in the world, I’m all in to help make that happen. There is Soul work involved. There are no shortcuts. But, I’ve got some stories and ideas that could help with learning curves and obstacles…

Naked Prayer

Naked prayer.

I’ve always prayed. To heal. To have. I pray for people I love and people I have a hard time liking. I’ve sat in prayer circles petitioning rain and for someone’s cancer to dissolve. I know dozens of prayers from various faiths. I’ve published prayers. Danced them. Sang them. Sweat them. In reverence, in shock, in exquisite thanks.

I pray differently now.
