1. WE are the media. The revolution will be tweeted, Facebooked and blogged about. (Personally, I can’t rely on glossy magazines to get my word out. And it may take me a bit longer to get on Oprah’s speed dial. Oooommm.)
2. As a writer, The New York Times Bestseller List is the Olympic gold medal. If you hit the List it could create a domino effect of more people getting the message, sales, requests from foreign publishers (parlez Francais?), speaking gigs, a juicier deal for future book(s), and flowing champagne.
3. I wrote a book that seems to be inspiring some people to be shinier, hotter, smarter, and truer to themselves. (I’ll say more about this in the coming weeks, but the effect this has on me — of being useful, that is — is awesome and life-affirming.)
4. On April 17 online retailers will ship out THE FIRE STARTER SESSIONS pre-orders, and release the e-book + audio versions, and bookstores will put the book on their shelves (it’s gorgeous!)
5. I need you. I need you to help me further my calling — to inspire people to liberate their truth; and to make a dream come true — to have a book hit The New York Time’s Bestseller List. I need you to spread the fire — on your phones, your websites, at the water-cooler.
6. This is it. I’m asking for your vote. People with passion are the heart of my campaign. Not TV networks. You.

If you’ve got a phone, a blog, an email address, a Facebook, a voice, or a homing pigeon, you can help. I’ve prepared a handy Menu of Love below. Do what feels nourishing, fun, sincere, useful, easy. And please take a deep breath, close your eyes for a second and hear me saying this, “Thank you SO, SO much.”
MUST KNOWs:
The New York Times tracks book sales for one week periods. Although fortunately “pre-orders” count toward the first week of a book’s launch time. That means every book purchased between about Jan 1 and April 22 (when Amazon etc. made the book available for pre-order and the end of my forthcoming release week), will count toward the List!
My official “pub date” is Tuesday, April 17. The objective is to sell as many copies as possible from now into the first week of launching. After that week, the slate is wiped clean and we start fresh. Of course, one prays for major sales in the weeks following launch date, but the pre-order period and launch week is a very magic window — it’s THE Gold medal race.
Repeat, spreading the love between now and Saturday, APRIL 21 is extra hot n’ helpful.
