Hi Danielle, I don't know why this post did not arrive in my inbox so I'm reading it now. We've simply forgotten how to be authentic. Political correctness is a tragedy and forces us to be disguised. The masks never come off. What a shame. I've had my own company for 16 years and the fact is business has changed so much and is changing at an even faster rate. It's easy to "get lost". I stand planted and remember who and what I am. I just don't want to be a part of that "stuff" anymore. Success has changed too. I am now living "Spartan Luxury". Authenticity at its finest. Joanna

Came here after watching Marty McConnell poetry videos and damn if this wasn't written in the exact same rhythm, and perfect it was. That old Georgia O'Keeffe story - she being visited by folks, telling her they, too, are artists, and she replies, "Well, why aren't you home painting?" comes to mind - have I told you that before?; it is late. I am forgetful & Craig Ferguson has just come the tv. Fabulous, ma'am. Fab!

Yes, and I have bought idea products I didn't need personally just because I love the work that person was doing in the world and I wanted to support them. I didn't need it, but the world sure needs them to keep on doing what they are doing. I'd rather spend my money on supporting people's magic and ideas than on buying more material stuff. Whenever I feel myself getting sucked into the consumer vortex, I ask myself that very question. "Do I really need this?" 9.99 times out of 10, the answer is no and I'm able to walk away. That phrase is hugely powerful and magical fairy dust is released when it's used. It's like putting on those special x-ray vision glasses that they used to sell in the back pages of comic books. Cuts right through the thick fog of advertising & flashy light show hype.
