Being authentic is so satisfying. When I try to be something else, it hurts all over. I say the wrong thing. I feel awful. I cannot seem to squeeze myself into any shape other than authentic. Am I bragging here??

"And while I'm philosophizing and pacing, the result is that other people's truth tends to get piqued."

Now THAT'S an understatement :-)

Danielle, I'm so grateful for the evocative piquing... and the hearing of my out-loud wondering.

With wild and untamed thanks for it all,
Erika

Danielle, you seem to know where you're going and how to get there. I find that it's an incredible thing. That sense of clarity and meaning gives you confidence and it allows you to enjoy life more and impact others more.

That's how it works for me. Does it for you?

Wow, thanks so much for sharing your answers with us! You are really so inspiring. This will help me kickstart how I will tackle these questions myself ...

By the way, I spent all night doing the exercises you wrote about on Zen Habits (http://zenhabits.net/2009/02/first-your-feelings-then-your-action-plan/ ) and my God, it was self-revealing. It also revealed simple little things I could do to make me feel my best! I also was not aware of my desired feelings until I wrote them out: feeling indispensable, strong, affluent, and pretty/feminine. it made me think about my daily actions and long term goals in a clearer and more defined way.

You're a revolutionary, girl. I'm so happy I found this blog.
