For every kind of relationship

Lovin’ ain’t easy. But, worth it. I’ve got some major life experience to back that up. Let’s dive into navigating relationships of all types. Romantic partners. Friendships. Your relationship with yourself. (That last one is most important.)

But what’s the MOTIVE? (And BTW, pure motives RULE).

But what’s the MOTIVE? (And BTW, pure motives RULE). Same gesture. Same joke. Same service. Same policy. How can you spot the selfish intention when the branding is so glorious? Or how can you sense the true wisdom when the delivery is so 2000-and tacky? How can you really hear someone when your judgement is clouded by…judgement?

How to wish someone well — in a way that will blow your life wide open.

We’ve all been hurt. Screwed over. Taken for granted. Unseen. And once we untangle our hearts and egos from those painful interactions, sometimes we can still manage to send someone positive vibes.Harm done, but okay. Everyone did their best. Onward. I wish them well. And even though you’d never commune or collaborate with that person ever again, you really mean it…

You will be called on to expand. And this is why we practice.

I travelled to Dharamshala, India with six friends to meet with The Dalai Lama. It was cell-altering and heart-expanding. The week before our arrival, there had been a horrible event in which some monks were murdered — most shockingly, by other monks. The story was on everyone’s mind and in our small, private meeting with His Holiness, the first thing we did was offer our condolences. His response captivated me…

Just don’t expect crazy people to be sane (cause that’s crazy).

There’s so much sanity to just flowing with someone’s predictability— their norm, their nature. Accept it. Forgive it. Just tolerate it; or peace out if you don’t want it in your life. But don’t waste too much time trying to change it.

Do it for the love

Money, approval, association — those are each healthy components to pulling off good stuff, but only if they’re rooted in the true love of what you’re doing. First, integrity, then hustle.

No matter what you do in life, whether it’s truly noble or expedient BS, you’re going to sweat for it, you’re going to lose a few battles, get criticised, hit the wall.

There aren’t many shortcuts to greatness, so really, just #doitforthelove.

Some fame, too much coolness, and the kindness that makes everything okay.

If you’ve been around any PFP’s for any length of time you’ll notice (and yes this is an overgeneralization but, not really), that almost everybody wants something from them.

Self care is a divine responsibility

…and by that I mean…If you believe that you are a child of the universe, or a product of Love, and/or a global citizen, then it’s common sense that you care well for yourself. In fact, you’re honour bound to love yourself.

Staying fluid, jealousy, and are women too hard on themselves? A Q&A on Womanhood

Well, WE ARE SOCIETY, so it’s not an “us against them” scenario. Women are setting and managing their own expectations to a huge degree. So let’s start by looking at how we treat ourselves — how women treat themselves as private individuals, and how women treat women. Let’s start with us.

The German magazine Allegria, asked me some good questions about WOMANHOOD. We could have talked for days…

Spill your desire to love and be loved everywhere

I’ve had thousands of conversations with people about desire and this is what I’ve learned from them (and from my own fiercely tender fierce heart): Desire is simple.
You can crave it, distill it, and peel back every kind of wish and most get to this: Everyone desires to love and be loved.

Lovevolve Lovevolve Lovevolve

Find out precisely how your people want to be loved and then…just love them that way. (Take the Love Languages test if you want to dig in to this psychology.) Bend to give the person in your gaze exactly what they need, the way they need it — and guaranteed, you’ll be a better person for that kind of giving.
