Patti is one of the reasons I summoned up the courage to write my book. When I first came across '37 Days' I realised that I didn't have to worry about the publishing industry, I didn't even need to think about it. I only needed to write a book that I believed was worth reading.

"When we die, what's left is love in the form of stories." Kapow. Beautiful.

"Until we are ready and able to grant the same level of specificity to others as we grant ourselves, there is no dignity" Patti's whole definition of dignity is very powerful. I have always held "dignity" and "relationship" as equally sacred and....separate. I have to say this is really important food for thought and makes so much sense and holds so much promise for humanity.
Thanks for this wonderful interview Danielle.

I love Patti. There I said it. *grin*

This is beautiful, and deep, and profound, as are all her writings....but, it's that last sentence that's going into my collection of quotes. That one, right there, is a keeper.

Blessings.
Carolynn

A sizzling interview, Danielle; what great questions and profoundly wise answers! I sent Patti's last post to everyone I could think of. It's one of the best pieces of writing about writing I've read in years - and books about writing are one of my passions. Patti's energy - much like yours - is off the scale. I suspect her wee rant will go viral. I'll tweet this interview and nudge it along! Thank you both.
