This some seriously poetic shit. It’s another late night tune. The whole American Prayer album is a drunken trip on truth. It was actually assembled after Jim Morrison’s death. He’d recorded most of it as straight talk in to a mic while in Paris, and the remaining Doors laid it down to music years after. Even though it’s soaked with sixties’ sensibilities, there’s something sublimely timeless about this record. I adore it.
