I love considering how my actions and feelings affect the great ocean that is the universe. I do affect things.

I am not important and important at the same time. A contradiction..

I love this all of a sudden.

I like these two posts. The humility in knowing if I don't show up tomorrow, the world will continue. Yet the feeling and loving nature to know that if I do at least one thing today to make someone's life better, I can make an impact. I like a mantra a learned from a friend recently, "Today, I will only give and receive love."

I think true altruism is difficult. Even the sincere desire in a loving gesture or action is centered around self and the reward one gets for being of service. Like when I was writing the above about doing something today to make someones life better, I was also thinking so that if I'm NOT here tomorrow, they will miss me because of the loving thing I did today... selfish. I think the intention and motives behind my actions are where I have the most work. But its all about progress.

I love this Danielle. This resonates with me more than part one--I think because I am an at-home mom who sometimes feels unnoticed, unappreciated, unloved and even unworthy. Love this, love this, love this.

Have you ever read St. Francis & The Sow by Galway Kinnell? That's another one that "reteaches me my lovliness."
