Just Love. (My most epic declaration of desires and demands, inspired by Eve Ensler.)

With @djdrez . His beats. My words. It worked.

You know what I want? I want JUST LOVE. Something so pure it transmutes my terror of not getting what I want into what I want the most: JUST LOVE.

You know what I want? Every desire to be a prayer with wings flying directly to God and back to me, like a circle, guiding my every single word, guiding where my hands move on the keyboard and out in the world, over all the broken things begging for JUST LOVE.

I want to know where I came from, how very ancient and dimensional I am. And in that fullness — so perpetually full — I will marry the maker of the cosmos, and every morning we will make so many things out of … JUST LOVE.

You know what I want? I want justice. Not only because I am justifiably angry but because I know that I know the truth — my body told it to me. She said:

Ecstasy is your birthright.

You do not have to earn your freedom.

You are sanctioned to do your work in the world. And anyone who attempts to smear your Divinity is on the wrong side of Universal Law.

You know what I want? I want all my friends to fall in love, including me. In love — all of us, with each other. With our smiles, our sex, are neuroses, our most gorgeous intentions. I want us to hear the music of each other.

I want to come. More than once. Every day, however Shiva Shakti wants to give it to me. I want to fuck JUST LOVE, eat JUST LOVE, make, dance, sing, buy, offer, melt into JUST… LOVE.

I want to move beyond self-improvement and “guilt-free” dessert. Guilt and joy are not part of the same equation, and status quo will not give you the most awesome bliss you’ve ever known — but JUST LOVE will.

You know what I want? Less plastic and more mindfulness. Tomatoes that taste like tomatoes. I want to see images of real women — that have not been Photoshop’d into impossible alien creatures in articles and news stories about the truth, written and produced by women who were properly paid to write and produce.

I want us to become so conscious as a culture that advertisers give up trying to fool us.

I want my son to be free to embody his Soul in the world. And to show us what it looks like to adore the Divine Feminine, and to respect one’s Mother. I want his educators to ask him: How do you want to feel? How may we help you to stay true to yourself? How shall you serve? And maybe he’ll say, “With JUST LOVE.”

Just love has teeth, you know. Sometimes you are going to have to bite. Ask Kali; or Durga, the goddess for war; or any Mother who crusades for change.

JUST LOVE will fight back if need be. Or she will wash their feet. She will give her milk, her strategies, her gold, her sheer elegance. Again and again, she will issue the sacred invitation — again and again, and again. I want that. All of that. A JUST LOVE.

YOU know what I want because you want it to.
Do we want too much? No. Never. We want what we want.

All hail the insatiable!

Ecstasy is our birthright.
We do not need to earn our freedom.
Our work in the world is sanctioned — by us —
we who are willing to live for JUST LOVE.

Your pleasure is your power… here’s how to get there, a few hours at a time.

When you’re in your pleasure you think more clearly, you’re more efficient, you’re most certainly more creative, and you’re more loving. Your pleasure states are good for your immune system. Mmmhmm.

As our American friends head to the polls today, I wanted to offer this to all of us: Look for Light with more intensity than ever… and vote for it.

Transformational Speaking

Want to be a powerful speaker? Meet the master…

Maybe you’re an introvert with a message. You’ve heard the call to speak, but playing the “extrovert” feels inauthentic. You may already be an active speaker, but your last few gigs or presentations could have used some oomph, that (sometimes) elusive fire.

CONSCIOUS gratitude is SMART gratitude—know exactly what you’re grateful for & why.

Conscious gratitude has been one of the most healing and creative practices in my life. It gets me out of my funk EVERY TIME. And it’s the source of a lot of my productivity. Conscious gratitude heals you, it’s generative, and it’s incredibly empowering.

The beautiful terror of going slowly

The beautiful terror of going slower. (I highly recommend it.)

It will not break your spirit, it will break down your addictions. Slower is not robbing you of having your deep desires being fulfilled, it’s helping you to be there—really be there—so you can see them right in front of you.

Stop Doing. (AKA detangling, liberating, and facing some gnarly terror.)

In terms of being successful (meaning YOUR definition of personal success), what you stop doing is just as important as what you start doing. Full stop. I know this to be true in my own life, over and over again.

Danielle LaPorte Near Blinding Radiance

When you get through the big pain, this is what happens: Near-blinding radiance.

You will have more to give—and you will LOVE giving it. You will seek to give. It will be the most incredible feeling. Someone is going to come to you with a broken wing, or low on reserves and you are going to have so much love and insight to offer them.

Hey Fire Starter People

Hey, Fire Starter! Is your time management system starving your Soul?

When you’re clear on what activates the joy within you, time management becomes a means to self-expression, not self-policing. And “making time” becomes an act of service so that you can be your best for those around you.

Free and Clear Week 3 Danielle LaPorte

What needs to change? Look at what sucks without criticizing yourself.

You’re going to look at what needs to change WITHOUT laying a guilt trip on yourself (or anyone else). You’re observing, not criticizing. Criticism clouds your clarity, so resist that destructive impulse and simply name what you’d like to change.
