Between oppressive culturalization and the shifting expressions of feminism, I get why Yoni Puja empowerment workshops or an orgy at Burning Man might be appealing—truly healing, even. For some of us, getting greased and going wild is exactly what we need to break the psychological chains and move up our own evolutionary spiral.

THE LIE OF AFFILIATION. Or…why group-think can really suck.

We have to fall for some lies to get to our truth. This is a big one…. The Lie of Affiliation says, “Groupthink is good think.” We could also call this The Lie of Being Cool. Yikes. Nooo. Danger, danger.

Healers, magicians, followers…so much can go wrong. There are spiritual superhumans and TRULY luminous leaders. Some people DO work for the Light, others…others do their work in the shadows and make it look shiny.

You mean what you say—you value your time, you value your word, you Love yourself enough to know that every commitment you make—from the time you say you’ll show up, to lifetime vows—is sacred, because you are a sacred being. You say Yes when you mean Yes, and No when you mean No.

How to be truly wise? Rock your paradoxes.

True wisdom usually holds and transcends opposing points of view.

Wisdom knows that there is always an exception to the rule.

That there is a time and place, and that a case-by-case approach is divine protocol.

The difference between boundaries vs. creating barriers.

There’s a difference between having good boundaries and creating barriers. Boundaries are proactive, on the offence, barriers are hyper-actively on the defense.
