roses absolutely everywhere

When I broke out of prison
I found Roses absolutely everywhere.
(I did hear them singing through the bars.)

They flourished from my declarations,
dripped out of my mailbox,
wove right into my hair
absolutely everywhere.

My house turned into a house-sized Rose
and I slept right in the very center of it
pink and gold
at dawn, I ran my body over every single petal
kissing my way up

My mouth opened like a Rose,
my breath, a Rose.
my spine, shot with life,
I stood right up and
I walked across the street
(step by step)
and Roses happened
absolutely everywhere
absolutely everywhere
absolutely everywhere.
